Welcome to our website! The purpose of our organized wives and widows of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., has been to promote our local Silhouette chapter, develop local service projects of interest for our chapter, and most importantly to serve as the official auxiliary to the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
Within the framework of the national Kappa Silhouettes philosophy of self-realization through service, our Los Angeles chapter works to implement program goals in varied ways depending upon our local communiity and the special resources of our chapter. Through these activities, our Los Angeles chapter continues to make numerous and significant contributions.

A-MAN, Inc. STEM Project
The The A-MAN Inc. ISD&L STEM Communities mission is to utilize Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-related projects as a motivational tool and advance the educational achievement, and the intellectual and career development of African-American, Latino and other minority students pre-K thru 12th grades. Their top three goals: (1) Increase number of underrepresented inner-city student-youth seeking majors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) disciplines, (2) Provide specific STEM in-service training activities for teachers, and (3) Increase post-secondary options of underachieving, underrepresented youth, ensuring they are academically and cognitively prepared for college.

Guide Right Program
Guide Right, is one of Kappa Alphi Psi's national service programs for the educational and occupational guidance of youth, primarily inspirational and informational in character. Its reach extends to high schools and colleges alike. It supports and assists male students, many who are African American, acquire the leadership, self determination, and character skills they will need to become productive members of society. We support Guide Right because it encompasses many of our youth oriented programs such as mentoring, college preparatory programs, and tutoring. However, the Flagship Initiative of the Guide Right Service Program is the Kappa Leadership Development League.

STEM Partnership
STEM is a curriculum based on educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach in a blended learning environment. Students are shown how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life and how computational thinking can be applied to real world applications in problem solving. Since there are underrepresented demographics in STEM fields, our focus is to increase the number of underrepresented minorities and expand participation by financially supporting and partnering with local STEM-focused schools, seminars, clinics, field-trips, and group mentoring workshops.

Cultural Events
The Silhouettes of Kappa Alpha Psi, Los Angeles Chapter, support philanthropic organizations, events, and educational advancements of African Americans. In addition, we support organizations like the Annual UNCF Los Angeles Walk for Education, the Kappa League Presents, and other fraternities, sororities, and organizations that provide scholarships for high school students matriculating into colleges as well as contributions and donations for worthy causes.
